Life gives and life takes away. We enter this world on the understanding that we shall not stay for ever, that our temporal passage will, like all things, come to an end. However, we cannot live our lives in the constant anticipation of death. If life is not to be drained of its beauty and spontaneity, we must live it to the full. We must seize each day and make of it a work of art. We must walk in the light until it finally grows dim.
