I know none of these people by name, and yet, through my walks, they are more than familiar to me. For a brief moment each day, I follow their lives, watch their children grow and observe their changing tastes in fashion and cars. I even silently lament the passing of those who pack up and move elsewhere. They may not notice as I fly by their window, but I notice them…For me, they are characters in the great complex drama which is ordinary life. From a distance, I have shared their joys, sorrows and struggles.
